Polymer Modified Bitumen

Ooms PMB offers a complete range of polymer-modified bitumen (PMB) which strengthens the asphalt to such an extent that service life nearly doubles, even with heavy use. Increasing traffic volume, axle loads and varying climate conditions have led to the development of improved construction materials and techniques in all areas of road and airport pavement construction, repair and maintenance. 

In densely populated areas, the traffic loadings are very heavy in terms of both the number and intensity of axle loads. There are regions where climate conditions are extreme. Coloured Asphalt

Coloured asphalt solutions instead of the original black asphalt are used more frequently. Coloured asphalt is made of a so-called clear binder, dedicated colour pigments and aggregates. Asphalt Reinforcement

The ability of asphalt to withstand tensile stresses is limited. When existing asphalt or concrete pavements are overlaid with new asphalt, cracks and joints will penetrate through the new asphalt layer very quickly. By applying reinforcement, the tensile stresses are reduced and reflective cracking is delayed or even prevented. Read more
